Outrage

There’s a sociological study in here, I’m sure.

The internet is not the cause of the outrage. So the same percentage of people must have been outraged before the creation of the internet. Is it simply that outraged people speak up, and now they can shout to the world? I hope that is the case, because otherwise, all the outrage on the internet means that a huge percentage of people are immature and do not think.

But maybe that is about right. William Golding said, “We are content to say we think, when all we do is feel.”

  1. An interesting social observation, for sure. I’m thinking of buses (and who is loudest), restaurants (ditto), maybe classrooms (!), and the internet 🙂 Yup, they’re right!
