One of the most remarkable stories I have ever heard.

Juliane Koepcke was flying over the Peruvian rainforest with her mother when her plane was hit by lightning. She survived a two-mile fall and found herself alone in the jungle, just 17. More than 40 years later, she recalls what happened.

  1. What a moving story… and an encouragement to any and all who have been traumatized by events in their life and courageously go on; perhaps wounded, injured, or symbolically, missing glasses (to see clearly) and shoes (to walk comfortably). The time spent with her parents in the rain forest was invaluable to her survival.

May we, as parents, lovingly and prayerfully prepare our children for the challenges of life. Faith says, we can make it; not just surviving but winning the race when too tired to go on. Thank you for this beautiful true-life story. It is encouraging.
