George Orwell, on behalf of everyone, we’re sorry. We’re sorry we couldn’t stay the destruction of language.

Seniors do not know grammar. Many claim they have never heard of Participles, Direct Objects, Phrases, Compound-Complex Sentences.

Should we accept the de-evolution of language? Should we fight it?
Why is there resistance to learning grammar? For the same reason there is resistance to all learning (see Plato’s Cave)?

Do we sit and watch language become something individual and elastic?
What should we do when rules are cast aside or never learned?
And isn’t this how it has always been?
