Kubrick so patient with his storytelling.
His compositions are impeccable. But it’s the storytelling that shines.
He uses dialogue to build tension.
It really is funny. It’s exaggerated, but not foolish/—-. It is the precursor to the mock-umentary–Best of Show, etc.
He uses the music for comic effect. Again, not foolish, but subtly funny.
How does he include so much dialog and detail in the dialog, and still maintain and build tension?
Whoa!! “War is too important to be left to the politicians.”
