From Rolling Stone Mag, natch. A good list. Great commentary.
Some truly horrible scenes have been put to film. Here are some from my list. What have you got?
Teen Witch Rap Scene
Spider Man Jazz Dance
I love movies.
They still transport me. They are still full of magic.
But I dislike TV.
Yet each year that I am ready to dismiss TV, I find something amazing on it:
- The Simpsons
- Arrested Development
- Avatar: The Last Airbender
- Modern Family
- Breaking Bad
- The Walking Dead
- Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
- Young Justice
- Downton Abbey
Plus tons that I trusted sources rave about that I never watch:
- Dr. Who
- The Wire
TV looks more and more like the movies. They used to be worlds apart.
Will the level craft and care that goes into films, go into all TV at some point? TV is raising its game. Film is holding steady. Will TV raise all the way up to the look and feel of film? Will the only difference be duration?
